Two parts to an episode that were lost due to life's interruptions, here they are in their entirety.

Episode 2020.04.01
Donald Trump, Impeachment and
The (yawn) Pressures of His Office
First things first, Impeachment is over – yes, but I recorded this during its waning days and thought it was too valuable to toss into the vault, so I am publishing it. I believe, progressives missed a prime opportunity to use impeachment to make a couple of different arguments, arguments that would have been beneficial in the future, alas they didn’t see those opportunities stirring them in the face. I spend much of the first half of the show talking about these arguments. Between the first and second segment (you may want to know, thanks to a last minute editing change, the second segment is not the segment mentioned at the first segments conclusion, you can find that segment in Ep 2020.04.02) – I play a very good song from Angels and Airwaves (BONUS for those who read this description as I don’t mention the song title or artist in the episode, the title is Secret Crowds). Then I dive into Socialism and what it demands from us as individuals in a society, which somehow has something to do with Donald Trump. Enjoy finding out how it does!

Episode 2020.04.02
Davos, Donald and Fraternity
While this is not an analysis of The Donald’s Davos speech, that may come at some point in the near future, as the speech is ripe with references to how Great America is under his leadership; this episode comments on what prompted it. He sounds different, he seems to act a bit differently also; this was not full of his past bombast; nope, he was reserved, on message and polished, could there be a reason why? I suggest there is, and not it’s not because “the American dream is back bigger, better and stronger than before”, all though that is a great line (. . .only tempered by the fact that dreams end and often cruelly so, especially when those dreams are escape mechanisms or imposed by psychologically destructive realities. . . .but I digress) it signals something frightening to the global elite and the huddled masses who may still believe in The Donald’s rhetoric. His speech says “austerity works” in a corporatist environment where the dignity of work is a euphemism for “obey”. Mr. Trump, in other words, has joined the global elite; he is their savior and is telling them that his ways work. Not a good sign for this country’s future.
