20% Labour swing destroys SNP in Rutherglen by-election. If translated at general election would win Labour 40 seats. SNP criminal cases and ‘obsession’ with reversing 2014 Scottish referendum backfire spectacularly. Labour Party Conference this week. By election – Labour wins seat from SNP in Scotland. Chris Mason article – by election – Sir Keir Starmer hails ‘big step’ towards Number 10 after Rutherglen and Hamilton West by-election win If the swing to Labour was replicated at a General Election it could mean Labour gaining 40 seats in Scotland Sir Keir Starmer on Friday opened a path to No10 through Scotland with a “seismic” by-election win in Rutherglen and Hamilton West. Labour crushed the Scottish National Party, with a swing of more than 20 per cent. The party’s candidate Michael Shanks secured 58 per cent of the votes, more than twice that of his SNP rival Katy Loudon. Significantly the Tories’ vote collapsed, winning only 3.9 per cent and embarrasingly losing their deposit. If the swing to Labour was replicated at a General Election it could mean Labour gaining 40 seats in ScoRutherglen was the first recall by-election in Scotland so the result needs to be treated with considerable caution. It was held after Margaret Ferrier, who had won the seat in 2019 with a majority of 5,230, had the SNP whip removed after breaching Covid rules in 2020. It also comes amid a police investigation into the SNP. But it still opens up the prospect of Labour winning dozens of seats in Scotland, which makes it far more likely that Sir Keir could win the next General Election, expected next autumn, with an overall Commons majority.

NUCLEAR SAFETY !: Report on nuclear armed B-52 which crashed near Spanish coast in 1966 – nuclear bomb contamination – old man left with worthless farm. When four nuclear bombs fell onto Spanish village of Palomares – – During the Cold War, the US military conducted manoeuvres in Spain’s Andalusia region. On January 17, 1966, a bomber and a supply plane collided in mid-air. From the belly of the bomber, four thermonuclear bombs fell to the ground. There was no nuclear explosion, as luckily they were unarmed. But they scattered highly radioactive plutonium over 250 hectares around the sleepy farming village of Palomares. The US tried to downplay the incident and quickly cleaned up the site, but left 50,000 cubic metres of plutonium-contaminated soil. More than half a century later, the accident is still a source of tension between Madrid and Washington. FRANCE 24’s Céline Schmitt and Armelle Exposito report.

NUCLEAR SAFETY 2: John Large quoted as ONR threatens Plymouth operators with legal action over safety failings – dangers of nuclear energy. Devonport nuclear base warned over safety Devonport contractor Babcock International refits Britain’s nuclear submarine fleet Devonport naval base has been warned of legal action after a worker received a dose of radiation amid a series of safety breaches. Radioactive cooling water was also mistakenly discharged into a submarine reactor compartment, the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) reported. Reporting of safety incidents at the base, which refits Britain’s nuclear submarines, was “below standard”. Devonport naval base has been warned of legal action after a series of safety breaches The ONR said five other incidents broke safety rules between October and December last year. They were: Radioactive coolant was mistakenly discharged into a submarine reactor compartment Torpedo tubes on a docked submarine were found to be “configured in contravention of safety instructions aimed at keeping the boat watertight” A nuclear evacuation alarm was tested “at the wrong time” A forklift truck carrying oil gained “unauthorised access” to a dock Safety maintenance of a dockside crane was delayed beyond the “maximum tolerance date” The ONR also reported “shortfalls in the operation of the emergency monitoring vehicles” during a nuclear submarine accident exercise. Nuclear engineering consultant John Large, who has advised the government and environmental groups on nuclear issues, said: “These are not uncommon incidents in a complex operation like Devonport. “But the level of detail is not good enough. For instance what is the connection with the torpedo tubes and a radiological incident on the submarine?”

NUCLEAR SAFETY 3: Nuclear Consulting Engineer Dr John Large explains the inadequacy of the safety precautions at Plymouth’s Devonport Nuclear Dockyard which contains nuclear powered submarines with nuclear weapons on board. Devonport Nuclear Safety Lecture – (DVD/VHS, i-Contact, recorded July 2002, published Oct 2002). Dr John Large is a nuclear consultant. For many years he worked at the heart of Britain’s nuclear industry, now he is hired by governments around the world to give an expert independent view on all issues radioactive. This 2 hr. talk was recorded July 2002 in the run-up to the review of safety measures round the Royal Navy’s Plymouth dockyard. Devonport is worthy of attention, its a major nuclear base in the middle of a city. Large explains, in the public interest, the real dangers of Devonport which have been hushed up by DML and the Royal Navy. John Large goes into several accident scenarios: BR1; BR2; BR3, put forward by the UK Ministry of Defence and examines how realistic they are. He comes to the conclusion that these scenarios tell only half the story of real accident situations and seem to be designed to fit the confines of the Devonport dockyard boundary. Could it be that the owners and managers of Devonport, DML, don’t want to have to pay for proper safety measures for the people of Plymouth? The idea of having nuclear submarines based in a city with 200,000 people is questioned. One of the reasons these submarines are still based in Plymouth is because the Scottish parliament will not accept any expansion of facilities in Scotland, even though these bases, Faslane, Coalport, Rossyth are all further away from centres of population. Large then explains another accident scenario which has not been revealed to civilian emergency planners: BR6. In BR6 the Ministry of Defence envisage a major accident with meltdown of the nuclear reactor core within minutes. This would allow a massive release of radiation. This talk was only necessary because Devonport Management Ltd, who own and run the nuclear dockyard, have been using the excuse of ‘military secrecy’ to hide the real dangers of their operations from elected officials, civilian safety agencies and the public at large. They hoped, for financial reasons that no-one would penetrate the wall of secrecy when preparing the new DEVPUBSAFE emergency plan for the city. Someone even managed to persuade Plymouth City Council’s Chief Executive Alison Stone to write to all Councillors in the City asking they stay away from this ‘unofficial’ lecture, even though she is supposed to be overseeing safety for the public. All this… and the authorities have refused to take into account the threat of terrorist attack since the September 11th WTC attacks. Despite the fact that Devonport is likely to be one of the main terrorist targets in the world. This talk was organised by Plymouth UNISON and the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and ends with a question and answer session with campaigners and members of the public cross-examining Mr. Large. It took place on Tuesday 2nd July 2002 and is an i-Contact video production.

NUCLEAR SAFETY 4: Nuke test veteran ‘guinea pigs’ demand compensation and recognition take MoD to court Nuclear bomb test veterans relaunch legal action One of the detonations witnessed by veterans in 1962 Military veterans who survived British nuclear tests sue the UK government for their missing medical records Law firm appealing for people to come forward if they think they have a claim Military veterans who survived British nuclear tests are suing the government for their missing medical records after 70 years of high rates of cancer, miscarriage and birth defects. Veterans, who were ordered to observe the nuclear blasts, began to realise the extent of the effects in later life when their children were born with severe deformities including spinal deformities, heart defects and sterility. The Ministry of Defence has repeatedly denied that the Atomic Weapons Establishment holds any evidence that blood samples were taken at nuclear tests. But a cache of 150 documents discussing blood tests that were withheld at the MoD agency were revealed by the Mirror last year. Law firm McCue Jury & Partners are now appealing for people to come forward if they think they have a claim. ‘The nuclear veterans have kept us safe for 70 years, but in return they have been gaslighted by the British state,’ managing partner Jason McCue told the Mirror. Poverty, disease, hunger, climate change, war, existential risks, and inequality: The world faces many great and terrifying problems. It is these large problems that our work at Our World in Data focuses on. Thanks to the work of thousands of researchers around the world who dedicate their lives to it, we often have a good understanding of how it is possible to make progress against the large problems we are facing. The world has the resources to do much better and reduce the suffering in the world. We believe that a key reason why we fail to achieve the progress we are capable of is that we do not make enough use of this existing research and data: the important knowledge is often stored in inaccessible databases, locked away behind paywalls and buried under jargon in academic papers. The goal of our work is to make the knowledge on the big problems accessible and understandable. As we say on our homepage, Our World in Data’s mission is to publish the “research and data to make progress against the world’s largest problems”.

£100m for Bristol Mass Transit System YANKED from Govt. website after only an hour! Plan stalled on disagreement about underground – £100m for Bristol mass transit? Government deletes £100m pledge for Bristol mass transit system The strange case of the disappearing announcement, as the mayor says the Government is ‘creating uncertainty’ The mystery of an extra £100 million of money from the cancelled HS2 rail project announced for transport in the West of England has deepened. Bristol Live can reveal the Department for Transport said the cash would be spent on Bristol’s mass transit ‘underground’ project – but then removed mention of it from its announcement. The Government announced a raft of huge investments that will see mass transit systems introduced in cities across the north of England using the HS2 money, and appeared to do the same for Bristol, only for the Department for Transport website to be swiftly updated to remove the pledge. Instead, the Government listed a series of other projects that the West of England’s money could be spent on, including an expansion of MetroWest, but it appears to have left it up to council chiefs in the region to decide what to do with it. The Mayor of Bristol Marvin Rees, who welcomed the ‘confirmation’ by ministers of the £100m for mass transit, said the flurry of announcements on Wednesday showed the Government ‘didn’t really know what it is doing’. But he added that the huge investment in mass transit schemes in other cities including Leeds – and the fact Bristol was the only metro-mayor area not to receive anything for mass transit – showed the West of England Combined Authority had to be better prepared for any sudden Government windfall billions in the future. The HS2 announcement by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at the Conservative Party Conference in Manchester on Thursday was expected, but the details of what the Government would do with the £36billion it would no longer be spending on the second phase of HS2 between Birmingham and Manchester came as a surprise. One of the first announcements, which was captured in a screenshot by the Mayor’s Office at City Hall and quickly shared, read: “£100 million in funding for a Mass Transit system: to revolutionise travel in and around Bristol.” The Mayor tweeted that screenshot, saying: “Government confirm £100m – just the start of what’s needed. Mass transit, going underground where necessary, is a no-brainer and the West of England Combined Authority should back it on Friday.” However, that Government announcement didn’t last long – less than an hour – before it was edited out of the page for the South West. Meanwhile, the £100m was doing a lot of other work. A different Government website announcement said it would be given to the West of England Combined Authority, with suggestions on how it could be spent. They were: an expansion of the MetroWest project – which is reopening closed down stations and boosting the suburban railway network around Bristol and Bath – with the suggestion MetroWest could be expanded south, outside of the West of England area to include new stations on the line to Taunton.

ITV report on UK housing crisis – what’s causing it? House prices falling – This is Money – House prices fall £14,500 in the past year, Nationwide says – Average price fell 5.3% in the year to September, Nationwide says It put the drop down to higher mortgage rates making homes less affordable House prices fell £1,345 in the month of September in real terms House prices fell 5.3 per cent – or around £14,500 – in the year to September, according to Nationwide’s latest house price index. The drop has been attributed to higher mortgage rates making buying and moving less affordable for people as a proportion of their monthly earnings. It means house prices are still falling at the fastest rate since 2009. Britain’s building society reported that average prices had not changed at all since August, when the annual reading was also 5.3 per cent. The 0 per cent growth reading for the month was an improvement on the 0.8 per cent fall in the previous month. In real terms the average house price in Britain is £257,808, compared to £259,153 in August. The reason that £1,345 drop is not recorded as a fall is that the percentage figures are seasonally adjusted to take account of factors that affect the housing market at different times of the year. All regions of the UK recorded price falls over the last year, with the South West seeing the biggest drop at 6.3 per cent. Northern Ireland remained the best performing region, with a 1.8 per cent fall. Robert Gardner, Nationwide’s chief economist, said higher mortgage rates were making owning a home more expensive, and this was driving down the number of mortgages taken out. ‘Housing market activity remains weak, with just 45,400 mortgages approved for house purchase in August, [around] 30 per cent below the monthly average prevailing in 2019 before the pandemic struck,’ he said. ‘For example, someone earning an average income and purchasing the typical first-time buyer home with a 20 per cent deposit would spend 38 per cent of their take home pay on their monthly mortgage payment – well above the long-run average of 29 per cent.’

UK rents hit new record with London homes costing close to average monthly salary Renting a property in Britain has risen to a new record with the average price now 10% higher than this time last year – with London rent now costing 90% of an average salary. The Rightmove Rental Tracker shows that the average advertised rent for properties is at £1,278 per calendar month (pcm) outside of London, and is up to £2,627 pcm in London, marking a 12.1% increase compared to last year. This means the average annual rent in London is £31,524 a year. The average full-time salary in London is just shy of £37,000, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), which means a single renter has just £5,476 a year left for other bills, food and expenditure. Meanwhile, the national average salary or median wage, is £32,000 a year, which after the latest rent prices would leave tenants with £16,664 for other expenditure. Rightmove said that one of the factors driving rising rents was not enough available rental properties to meet the demand from prospective tenants looking to move. It said that the average rental property across the UK is currently getting 25 enquiries from prospective tenants, which is more than three times the number were receiving pre-pandemic in 2019. Ria Laitmer, lettings manager at Clarkes in Dorset, said: “The gap between high demand and a severe shortage of rental stock at the moment is just crazy. We’re receiving mounting enquiries for each property to rent from would-be tenants, with queues of tenants arriving to open-house viewings and the majority being left disappointed as there is just not enough properties on the market to meet the demand.”

NHS failing – UK excess deaths 9% more than in 2019. Coach crash near Liverpool – 40 year old driver had a medical episode – Excess deaths in 2022 among worst in 50 years More than 650,000 deaths were registered in the UK in 2022 – 9% more than 2019. This represents one of the largest excess death levels outside the pandemic in 50 years. Though far below peak pandemic levels, it has prompted questions about why more people are still dying than normal. Data indicates pandemic effects on health and NHS pressures are among the leading explanations.

AI chatbot encouraged a Star Wars fan to kill the Queen ‘Psychotic’ Star Wars fan encouraged to kill Queen by AI chatbot jailed for nine years A self-styled “assassin” who was encouraged by an AI chatbot to break into Windsor Castle with a loaded crossbow has been locked up for nine years. Star Wars obsessive Jaswant Singh Chail, 21, had described himself as a “Sith” and “Darth Chailus” in a sinister video and confided his murderous plan to an artificial intelligence-generated “girlfriend” called Sarai, a court heard. The former supermarket worker had scaled the perimeter of the castle with a nylon rope ladder and was in the grounds for two hours before two officers confronted him with tasers. He was armed with a powerful crossbow with the safety catch off which was capable of firing bolts with “lethal” effect, the Old Bailey was told. The defendant, from Southampton, Hampshire, was born in the UK of Indian Sikh heritage and has a twin sister. Ms Morgan said Chail, then aged 19, had become angered by the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh Massacre at Amritsar in which hundreds of people were killed, after a visit in 2018. She said: “In addition to that fixation with a real historic event, the defendant demonstrated a wider ideology focused on destroying old empires spilling over into fictional events such as Star Wars. “The defendant’s key motive was to create a new empire by destroying the remnants of the British Empire in the UK, and the focal point of that became removal of the figurehead of the royal family. “His thinking was informed partly by the fantasy world of Star Wars and the role of Sith Lords in shaping the world. He was attracted to the notoriety that would accrue in the event of the completion of his ‘mission’.”

Silkie Carlo from Big Brother Watch on how passport information sold for facial recognition software LINK to campaign – Big Brother Watch responds to Government plans to create a giant facial recognition database out of passport photos Responding to the Government’s plan to build a massive facial recognition database out of passport photos of people in the UK, Silkie Carlo, director of Big Brother Watch, said: “Philp’s plan to subvert Brits’ passport photos into a giant police database is Orwellian and a gross violation of British privacy principles. It means that over 45 million of us with passports who gave our images for travel purposes will, without any kind of consent or the ability to object, be part of secret police lineups. “To scan the population’s photos with highly inaccurate facial recognition technology and treat us like suspects is an outrageous assault on our privacy that totally overlooks the real reasons for shoplifting. Philp should concentrate on fixing broken policing rather than building an automated surveillance state. “We will look at every possible avenue to challenge this Orwellian nightmare.”

Lawrence of Arabia may have been murdered by British intelligence as crash site dug up Archaeologists say they could be dealing with the ‘first state-sponsored murder in Britain’ as they excavate the site of the 1936 crash which killed Lawrence of Arabia, who was immortalised by Peter O’Toole in David Lean’s 1962 film The site of Lawrence of Arabia’s fatal motorbike crash is being dug up by archaeologists searching for evidence that he was murdered by British intelligence. TE Lawrence, immortalised by Peter O’Toole in David Lean’s 1962 film, was killed after swerving to avoid two boys on bicycles. But it has been rumoured that the accident was caused by a black car. There were concerns about his links to fascist Oswald Mosley and Churchill’s plans to make him the head of British intelligence. And now, as biopic Lawrence: After Arabia is released in cinemas, historians, an archaeologist and a forensic crash investigator plan to help excavate the site of the 1936 crash near Wareham, Dorset. They will look for remnants of Lawrence’s Brough motorbike and revisit archival material from the inquest. Film director Mark Griffin said: “We’re hoping to build a revisionist history which is more reflective of his life than the one people are familiar with. “What we could be dealing with here is the first state-sponsored murder in Britain.” Lawrence was famed for his part in the Arab uprising against the Ottoman Turks in 1917 during World War One. He died six days after the crash, aged 46. Lawrence Of Arabia joined the Arab revolt against the Ottoman Empire during World War I and was instrumental in the conquest of Palestine ( “Whatever they’re trying to find is not there.” Lawrence suffered severe lacerations and damage to the brain when his unprotected head hit the ground. Trump claims law clerk in New York fraud case is dating senior congressional Democrat Donald Trump has been issued a gagging order after claiming the law clerk in his New York fraud case is dating a senior congressional Democrat. The former president, who has already attacked the case’s attorney general and judge, made an unsubstantiated claim that Allison Greenfield, the supreme court clerk, was in a relationship with Chuck Schumer, the Democrat majority leader in the US Senate. Ms Greenfield describes herself online as a prospective Democratic candidate for the New York civil court elections, and reportedly posted a photograph of her and Mr Schumer on her Instagram account. Mr Trump reposted the photograph on Truth Social, his social media platform, claiming: “Schumer’s girlfriend, Alison R. Greenfield, is running this case against me. “How disgraceful! This case should be dismissed immediately!!” There is no evidence that the two are dating. The photograph reportedly originates from Ms Greenfield’s private Instagram account, which could not be independently verified by The Telegraph. In response to the post, Arthur Engoran, the case judge, issued a gagging order barring participants from commenting on his staff. “Personal attacks on members on my court staff are unacceptable, inappropriate, and I won’t tolerate it,” he said, adding: “Consider this a gag order for all parties from posting about any members of my staff.” Mr Schumer’s office was contacted for comment. Mr Trump has repeatedly claimed the civil fraud case against him in New York is politically-motivated, describing Letitia James, the attorney general, and Mr Engoron, as “Democrat operatives”. On Tuesday, as he arrived in court for the second day of the trial, he said Ms James was “grossly incompetent” and a “fraud”. In an email to supporters, he said: “The Left is hoping that if they can hurt me financially, that I will shut down my campaign and forever surrender our country to the radical Left Democrats and the Deep State.” He added: “They can never take away my resilience, my courage, and my determination to save this country.” The fraud case is one of several legal battles the former president faces in the run-up to next year’s presidential election. Mr Trump is currently the frontrunner in the Republican primary case, but faces four criminal trials and two civil actions, including the accusation in New York that he inflated the value of his properties and exaggerated his net worth.

Power of Freemasons in geopolitics…. Support for US money to Ukraine crumbling. Anti-war.com – Biden wanted to use 20bn dollars aid for Ukraine. A Desperate White House Is Scrambling To Find Money for Arming Ukraine After Congress failed to pass a $24 billion aid package for Kyiv during the budget debate, the Joe Biden administration is considering relying a State Department grant to ship weapons to Ukraine. POLITICO reported on Thursday that President Joe Biden was contemplating using State Department funds to ship weapons to Ukraine. Washington and Kyiv are beginning to panic as Congress did not pass Biden’s proposed $24 billion aid package to Ukraine in September. After Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, Congress provided the White House with several pools of funds to draw from for arming Kyiv. Most of the weapons shipped to Ukraine have come via the Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA) that allows Biden to order the Pentagon to ship American arms directly to Ukraine. Congressional funding allows the Department of Defense to purchase new weapons to replace those sent to Ukraine. It is unclear how much money remains in the PDA account. In June, the Pentagon reported it had uncovered an “accounting error” that freed up an additional $6.2 billion in PDA funds. However, the White House has started to burn through that money, and just over $5 billion remains.

100+ killed in drone attack in Syria on military graduation ceremony. At least 100 killed in drone attack on Syrian military academy, monitor says – At least 100 people were killed on Thursday in an attack on a military academy in Syria, a war monitor and an official said, with weaponised drones bombing the site minutes after Syria’s defence minister left a graduation ceremony there. It was one of the bloodiest attacks ever against a Syrian army installation, and unprecedented in its use of weaponised drones in a country which has faced 12 years of civil war. Advertisement · Scroll to continue Civilians and military personnel were killed in the attack on the military academy in the central province of Homs, Syria’s defence ministry said, adding “terrorist” groups had used drones. The statement did not specify an organisation and no group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack. Syria’s defence and foreign ministries vowed to respond “with full force”. Syrian government forces carried out heavy bombing attacks on the opposition-held zone of Idlib throughout the day. Advertisement · Scroll to continue Syria’s defence minister attended the graduation ceremony but left minutes before the attack, according to a Syrian security source and a security source in the regional alliance backing the Damascus government against opposition groups. “After the ceremony, people went down to the courtyard and the explosives hit. We don’t know where it came from, and corpses littered the ground,” said a Syrian man who had helped set up decorations at the academy for the occasion. Footage shared with Reuters through the messaging app WhatsApp showed people – some in fatigues and others in civilian clothes – lying in pools of blood in a large courtyard. Some of the bodies were smouldering and others were still on fire. Amid the screaming, someone could be heard shouting “put him out!” A spray of gunfire could be heard in the background. Reuters could not authenticate the footage. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said more than 100 people were killed and 125 injured. An official in the alliance backing Syria’s government said the toll was around 100. Health Minister Hassan Al-Ghobash gave a lower death count, telling state TV 80 people had been killed, including six women and six children, but said about 240 people had been injured.

ITV news report – Vietnamese people smuggling gangs operating in Malta. Inside the people smuggling routes which Vietnamese are using to reach the UK -Warren Thornton, who outed Ukrainian Nazi in Canadian Parliament, on Ukrainian child trafficking via Malta An ITV News investigation has revealed how Vietnamese people are being smuggled into Europe and the criminals who are benefiting from their desperation, ITV News Correspondent Peter Smith reports In Vietnam, people smuggling is a sophisticated industry and business is booming. Tens of thousands every year are paying ‘agents’ with borrowed money to be smuggled abroad, with the intention of getting illegal, undocumented work at a higher rate of pay and sending money home. It would be wrong, though, to categorise this as a ‘Vietnam problem’ because it is, in fact, centred around just a handful of villages in one single province: Nghe An. You will, of course, find people being smuggled from some other parts of Vietnam, such as Quang Binh, Hai Phong or Ha Tinh. But the scale in those places is almost insignificant compared to the professional operation that has emerged in the villages of Nghe An.

Nazis on Acid: Fascism & Psychedelics, Satanism & Transhumanism, David Livingstone – David Livingstone on drugs and MK Ultra – Thiel is also an exponent of a right-wing philosophy the neo-reactionary movement (sometimes abbreviated to NRx), an anti-democratic, anti-egalitarian, reactionary philosophy. The movement is also known as the Dark Enlightenment, a term coined by English author and philosopher Nick Land, in his essay of the same name. Land has been described as the “father” of accelerationism, a set of ideas which propose that capitalism and technological change should be drastically accelerated to create further radical social change.[113] Accelerationism reflected a similar approach adopted by Satanists, particularly the Process Church and Charles Manson. Land has also “highly-recommended” the works of David Myatt’s fascist Satanist Order of Nine Angles (O9A), whose international distributor is adept Kerry Bolton, founder of the Black Order and associate of Alexander Dugin, known as “Putin’s Rasputin.”[114]

Psychedelics and Fascism: From MK-Ultra, to Esalen and Silicon Valley – It’s commonly assumed that the “mind-expanding” capabilities of psychedelics usually lead to progressive or liberal views. So, their proponents are surprised by their persistent association with the right. In “Right-Wing Psychedelia: Case Studies in Cultural Plasticity and Political Pluripotency,” Brian A. Pace and Nese Devenot observe that, “Recent media advocacy for the nascent psychedelic medicine industry has emphasized the potential for psychedelics to improve society, pointing to research studies that have linked psychedelics to increased environmental concern and liberal politics.”[1] However, in “Why is the American right suddenly so interested in psychedelic drugs?” for The Guardian, Ross Ellenhorn and Dimitri Mugianis report that “psychedelic therapies are receiving unprecedented financial and political support – and much of it comes from the right.”[2] The history of psychedelics begins with Aldous Huxley (1894 – 1963), a fascist who inspired the CIA’s MK-Ultra program. And ultimately, interest in psychedelics derives from occult interest in the ancient shamans of the Altai Mountains, which is believed to be the original religion of the Aryans. H.P. Blavatsky(1831 – 1891), who is considered the “godmother” of the New Age movement, despite the fact that she inspired the racial ideas of the Nazis, was inspired in her knowledge of Shambhala, a Tibetan Buddhist legend mentioned in the Kalachakra Tantra. Csoma de Körös (1784 – 1842), a Hungarian orientalist from Transylvania, was the first to report of the legend of Shambhala in the West, which he located in “the land of the Yugurs (Uighurs)” in Xinjiang, a province of Northwestern China. In an 1825 letter, Csoma de Körös wrote that Shambhala is like a Buddhist Jerusalem, and he believed it would probably be found in Kazakhstan, close to the Gobi desert, where it would later be situated by Blavatsky.[3] Others later would also locate it more specifically either in Xinjiang, or the Altai Mountains. Thus the Altai Mountains are the reputed source of the early form of spirit or “divine” communication known as shamanism, regarded among occultists as the “Oriental Kabbalah,” a supposed remnant of the migrations of Aryan survivors of Atlantis.

THE HUMAN BLOOD DRINKING BILLIONAIRES: The ultra-wealthy are paying thousands for “young blood” transfusions meant to slow down the aging process.- A controversial startup called Ambrosia charges thousands to fill your veins with the blood of young people, which is meant to slow aging by rejuvenating the body’s organs, as Business Insider’s Erin Brodwin previously reported. Another company, The Young Blood Institute, was charging $285,000 for trials of young blood transfusion, STAT reported in 2018. Alkahest also studies the link between aging and young blood, but instead of opening up centers for young blood transfusions, the company aims to develop drugs for age-related diseases, inspired by their work with plasma. Billionaire venture capitalist Peter Thiel has expressed interest in the procedure, as well as other medical research on extending the human lifespan. “There are all these people who say that death is natural, it’s just part of life, and I think that nothing can be further from the truth,” Thiel said back in 2012. Researchers who study blood transfusions have called such procedures potentially dangerous. “It is well known in the medical community and this is also the reason we don’t do transfusions frequently that in 50% of patients there are very bad side effects,” Irina Conboy, a University of California at Berkeley researcher who has published research on young blood transfusions in mice, told Business Insider’s Erin Brodwin. “You are being infused with somebody else’s blood and it doesn’t match. That unleashes a strong immune reaction.” Ambrosia founder Dr. Jesse Karmazin disputed Dr. Conboy assessment of the risk of blood transfusions, telling Business Insider that Ambrosia’s clinical trials produced “significant efficacy and safety data.”
