I begin todayâs program by referring to the first bill introduced in the new Senate session by Marco Rubio, S. 1, which includes a number of items benefiting Israel, his being the Combatting BDS Act that would make it illegal and subject to fine any US business that refuses to do business with Israel, being more or less similar to anti BDS laws that have been passed in 26 states.
Because of the government shutdown, the Democrats, even those who will support the bill, have vowed not to vote on anything until the government re-opens.
I then mention how Palestinian American congresswoman, Rashida Tlaib, is being called anti-Semitic by the Jewish political establishment for suggesting that the senators supporting the bill should study the US constitution which was construed by said Jews as an accusation of âdual loyalty.â She had said no such thing, but that was clearly the case, assuming they had any loyalty to the US in the first place.
What has not been mentioned in the media is that the bill would also make into law the $38 billion arms gift to Israel that was approved by Obama in 2016. Such codifying would make it difficult if not impossible for any other president over the next decade to tamper with it. I suggest this is desired by Israel so it wonât be penalized by Washington for its actions in the international arena which the White House wouldnât find pleasing.
One example of that is a deal that has been made with Israel and a Chinese company whose major owner is the Chinese government to take over and run the port of Haifa for 25 years, beginning in 2021. The US Navy which has routinely used the port to dock and participate in joint exercises with the Israeli navy is not pleased with the deal. The story has only been reported in the Israeli press which also noted that John Bolton had raised the issue with Netanyahu.
I then go into some aspects of Boltonâs background establishing him, quite openly, as an Israeli agent.
From there I go to a quote from Mike Pompeo on US goals for Iran, democratic freedoms, then point out that this year will mark the 65th anniversary of the CIA organized coup against Iranâs democratically government and point out it was more devastating for Iran than Pearl Harbor or 911 were for the US.
Finally, I report that the US government shutdown might halt funding of the Palestinian Authorityâs security forces that collaborate with Israel and the unintentional pitfall of the Anti-Terrorism Clarification Act that was passed last Fall by voice vote in both houses which would allow US citizens to sue any entity that receives aid from the US if one of its members harms a US citizen. The USG is trying to find a way to change it to keep the PA from continuing its collaboration with Israel.
