I begin by regretting the absence of a Swift, Carroll, or Twain to write about these times and go from that to describing the hypocrisy and amnesia that pervades the US exemplified by the failure of the media to mention the interference of both Democrats and Republicans in th3 1996 re-election campaign of Russian president Boris Yeltsin.
I mention the Mueller investigation, ostensibly intended to expose Russian interference, having resulted in 18 convictions, none of which had to do with influencing the election of Trump and that the indictment of 14 Russians as the hackers of the DNC and Podesta emails will never be challenged in any court and was shaky from the get-go.
I go from there to citing Bill Clinton insider Dick Morris's description of his role in Clinton's efforts to make sure Yeltsin was re-elected as Russia's president in 1996, credit for which was also claimed by Republican operatives in Time of that year which made it their cover story with Yeltsin's image on the cover with an American flag lapel.
I then briefly examine the interventions by the US in Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras that have been the primary cause of immigrants from those countries seeking asylum on our borders and conclude with a report of this weekend's exchange of missile fire between Israel and Syria, foreshadowing another a broader war with Iran which is Washington (and Israel's) goal.
