Small town environmentalists and a dozen girl scouts won the first plastic bag ordinances in New Jersey, paving the way for a sweeping state ban of single use plastic. This is a story of first time activists acting locally to change the wider world.

Plastic is a climate problem but the solution requires more than giving up your straw. The activists tell their stories and leaders of Beyond Plastics and Surfriders talk about the climate and environmental impacts of plastic, and solutions.
