This is a report of a protest demonstration on the 20th anniversary of the opening of the extra-legal US "detention center" at Guantanamo, Cuba. About 10 activists came out to voice their outrage at the prison, the ridiculously corrupt way its prisoners were chosen and gathered, the horrible treatment they get, and the fact that it is still open after 20 years. The rally was held at Park St Station on the Boston Common on January 11, 2022. The protesters were mostly in orange jumpsuits, like the prisoners at Guantanamo, as they read the names of the men held there, told their stories, and called for the Biden administration to follow through on his promise to close it down. Finally, a powerful poem by prisoner Adnan Latif. For more information, contact Susan McLucas, SusanBMcL@gmail.com.
