March 4th rally outside of Rep Mike Quigley's office in Chicago calling him out for his votes to increase Pentagon spending - a move that benefits his campaign donors like Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Boeing, General Dynamics and more.
Activists in front of his office held the big checks written to him by war profiteers and joined the national call for a War Powers Resolution for Yemen. The U.S. proxy, Saudi Arabia, relies on U.S. technicians and spare parts to maintain the aircraft it uses to bomb Yemen. The servicing of those aircraft enables the war crimes committed by Saudi Arabia in Yemen. Rally demanding Rep. Quigley be held accountable!

The U.S. Economy is consumer dependent. Since cash strapped consumers can't buy it is now fully dependent on Government Spending to prevent economic recession. Could raise wages but Capitalists are loath to spend on anything that would reduce their profits or empower in workers expectations of economic security. As a result of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robots less investment and fewer workers are needed to make profit in the present compared to the past. Supplying weapons for war and to threaten war is profitable due to high tech cost plus contracts and largely unchangeable allocations for "national defense" spending. The #1 consumer in the U.S.A. is the Pentagon. But even more profitable for Wall Street is profit with out manufacturing; the finalization of everything.
