Plus an interview with drummer, bandleader, composer, and educator E.J. Strickland. He leads a sextet scheduled to perform at The Falcon in Marlboro, NY, on September 18. The Jazz Coalition-commissioned performance is entitled, A Unified Stance, We Must Take. Plus, a selection from the new release by Dutch trumpeter Eric Vloeimans and American accordionist Will Holshouser.
