Matthew Strugar is challenging the US Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act which labels animal rights activists as terrorists.
Emily Aspinwall, Stark Raven Media Collective
*This interview is self-contained with intro and extro*

Animal rights activists are increasingly being targetted by the state as terrorists. The criminalization of animal rights activism was sealed into law in the US when the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act was passed in 2006. The Center for Constitutional Rights argues this law is creating a chilling effect for activism and sets a dangerous precedent. Matthew Strugar is a lawyer with the Center for Constitutional Rights based in Los Angeles. He has defended a number of animal rights activists who've been charged under this law.
