In the first hour, Charles Goyette, author of "The Dollar Meltdown: Surviving the Impending Currency Crisis with Gold, Oil and other and other Unconventional Investments", and longtime financial professional and former anti war talk show host, revealed the governmental errors that led to the current economic crisis and the difficult road ahead. Goyette discussed the continued devaluation of the U.S. dollar, and how he sees the consequences for the average American.

The U.S. is moving away from being a "free economy" which depends on agreement and produces prosperity, Goyette shared and moving toward a centrally controlled "command economy. "

While credit card companies are slashing people's credit and forcing them to save, banks aren't offering any incentive for savers with their low return rates. As the dollar continues to be worth less, Goyette advised people to put some of their investments in gold and silver.

In the second hour, Shannon Biggs, director of the Local Green Economy at Global Exchange and co-author of "Building the Green Economy: Success Stories from the Grass Roots", shared her work teaching rights-based organizing Democracy workshops with the Community Envionmental Legal Defense Fund. We learned that the workshops teach the basics to grassroots activism to create systematic change.

Democracy School explores the limits of conventional regulatory organizing and offers a new organizing model that helps citizens confront the usurpation by corporations of the rights of communities, people, and the earth. Lectures cover the history of people's movements and corporate power.

Our health and safety should not have a price tag. We jump through countless hoops, learn to become experts on technical data, and our scientists and their scientists duke it out over data—but the real issue here is who has the right to decide about what goes into our bodies? Local activits, Jazz-elle Lasik and Mary Graydon then discussed their work on passing a local rights based ordinance to halt aerial spraying and other means of applying of toxic pesticides to eradicate pests. In the final hour, Randall Hopper discussed the importance of remineralizing the earth to restore ecological balance and stabilize the planet. Hopper explained that sustainable agriculture and soil remineralization are playing a crucial and vital role in ensuring the future well-being of all life.
