PBS NewsHour, American Petroleum Institute confirmed what their spokesperson said, Rayola Dougher said the 33 wells the White House wants a moratorium on in the Gulf of Mexico would produce some 80,000 to 100,000 barrels per day combined. We asked BP about the numbers, their internal documents showed that their blown pipe would be expected to release about 100,000 of barrels per day. Thats just 1 well.
