This is the full 2-7-11 episode of the Labor Express Radio program.
On the second half of todayâs program, as promised, we will bring you more about the mayoral candidates standing for election here in Chicago; this time with audio from the Chicago Teachers Unionâs mayoral forum. But given the on-going and rapidly evolving events in Egypt, and the reaction to those events here in Chicago, we will devote the first half of todayâs program to that topic again this week. Will have audio from a second rally in solidarity with the people of Egypt held last Friday and excerpts from a very interesting event that was held Friday night around a new book just published entitled The People Reloaded: The Green Movement and the Struggle for Iran's Future. The panel at that event included a number of prominent Middle East scholars and they discussed not only the reform movement in Iran called the Green Movement which burst on to the scene in June 2009, but also the developments in Egypt and Tunisia and their relationship to the situation in Iran.
