This week I speak with a duel citizen of Canada and the United States, about the growth of Canadian new labor party and he offers strategies and hope for the growth of Progressive movements and parties here in the U.S. Specifically here in the central Illinois Area, as he invites Listeners to the First Ever Central Illinois Progressive Alliance, Meeting Wendsday June 22 at 7pm in the Public meeting room of the Lake view Branch Public Library. during this conversation Ross Clymer the president of the Illinois Central College Democrats chimes in offering a more centrist point of view. In Local News we follow the story of the New Peoria Sustainability Commission. Under control of new city manager Patrick Urich, its goals have changed and its motivations are revamped. We are optimistic and excited to see what it can do. In national news, we cover the story of state by state voter reform laws and how they favor republicans and disenfranchise the poor, women, and a large majority of democratic supporters.
