Are you looking for a way to help the local environment? If so, come on out and be a Nature Helper! The Guelph Nature Helpers meet a couple times each month to tackle an environmental project in the Guelph area. Projects may include invasive plant removal, tree planting/maintenance, garbage/litter clean-up and assisting with community gardening.

Our next gathering is July 28 when we will be removing buckthorn from the site of The Plant an Old Growth Forest Project at the Ignatius Jesuit Centre. If you have snips or hand saws, please bring them along but we will provide tools if you don’t have your own. We will meet at 10 am at the entrance to the Ignatius Centre property on Cox Creek Boulevard. Look for the Nature Helpers sign.

Other upcoming gathering dates are August 11 and August 25.

Nature helps us - let's help nature!
