The "Progressive Hour" continues on KSCO, even as the bombs drop in Baghdad. I must admit, I didn't think that KSCO, a staunchly conservative AM radio station in Santa Cruz, would let it go this far into the war. Nonetheless, Old Lady Scar Arms and myself went on again. This time as co-hosts. Despite a slightly rough start, the show came off okay, overall. Its a bit nerve racking being in what feels like "hostile territory." Sometimes that comes out in ways on the air, but with the wonders of digital editting, this file might not reflect that as much. Anyway, Janine Jackson had to drop out of the show early and Ali Abunimah took some pretty abusive calls. At the end of the hour, Ali Abunimah is cut off, mid-sentence, to make way for the USA Propaganda Network. We had no control over that. So this file ends with Abunimah. It is not a smooth ending but might make for interesting radio to play on some stations. I took out all the KSCO station ids. I don't know how much longer this opportunity will last, but we hope to go back and get the word out to a different audience a few more times. Wish us luck!! email mz@ksco.com and let him know you like the "midday news at noon" cc your message to vman@baymoon.com
