Bernard Desgagne provides important background information about Ivory Coast (Côte d'Ivoire) political history and the "former" President Laurent Gbagbo who has been targeted by the Western countries and now faces charges at the infamous International Criminal Tribunal (ICC) --the place where all good and just African leaders who do not bow down to the Western powers are drug.
Gbagbo wanted peace and reconciliation, so he pardoned a rebel general and allowed him to take part in political life and made other concessions that allowed Ouattara to run for president in the 2010 elections. Gbagbo won those elections.
